I can’t speak highly enough of our experience with The Raven Team! I was a first-time homebuyer with very little knowledge about how to find the right home. From day one, Jill and Bill were extremely responsive and had great suggestions for homes to view based on what I was looking for. They are honest, hands-on, and will do anything to help! After looking back at the deal, the negotiations, home inspections, repair request list, and getting us to closing on my dream home, I realized I could not have done this without having great realtors! As first time buyers, we had no idea what we were doing when we decided to buy our first home. All it took was one email to Jill, describing what we were looking for, and she took the lead. She sent us houses that were exactly what we wanted, and we felt no pressure at all. She was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. Raven Realty made our first home buying experience one to always remember. Jill shared her expertise about the value of homes compared to their listing price. We were not actively pursing a house, rather just wanted to see if something felt right to us. Jill understood this and sent us homes that were within our price range with amenities and a neighborhood that we were looking for. We came across an old Victorian home that felt like the perfect place to call ours. Of course, with an old home you worry about a great deal of expenses. This is where Bill and Jill really become a team. 

With Bill’s contracting experience, he helped us understand the build of the home. He was very knowledgeable about the roofing, structure, wood types, furnace quality, electrical work, and landscape of the home. 

He reassured us this house was well-built and would not be a “money pit.” After we made the decision to buy, Jill was wonderful in explaining everything that goes along with the home-buying process in a way that a young couple could understand. 

She helped us step by step right up until we received the keys to our first home. We would highly recommend Raven Realty and cannot thank them enough for making this one of the most exciting moments in our life!

We worked with Bill and Jill to sell a difficult-to-sell property. They were persistent and helpful and got the property sold. Then we started working towards selling our house and buying a new one.

Bill and Jill were patient as we looked at numerous homes. I wanted that perfect home…the million dollar home without the million dollar price. 🙂 They never tried to push us into something we didn’t want. Bill has been a builder and was able to look at homes structurally in a way that non-builders wouldn’t be able to. While highlighting the good in homes, they never hesitated to point out things that might need repair.

In the end, we decided to move to Tennessee to be with our daughter. After all that looking, we didn’t buy from them because of the move. We did, however, sell our house in La Crosse. We moved before selling, so all the work to sell was on them. They helped us prepare our home and took care of the house while we were gone, checking on our home to make sure everything stayed in good shape. Given the record cold and snow this winter, we needed someone to take care of it.

Jill and Bill will go above and beyond if you hire them. If we ever move back into the are, these are the realtors we will be using. We recommend them very highly. They are the standard by which we measure all other realtors.

I hope that this short review at least begins to show both Jill and her husband Bill how much we appreciated their help throughout our home buying process. Jill was easy to talk to and willing to negotiate through tricky circumstances to get us what we wanted. Bill complements her perfectly by lending his experienced take on things like roof replacement, toilet fixes, and basement finishing. I would not trust the sales of our family’s 2 homes to anyone else but Jill Raven. After my Mom passed about 9 years ago we meet with Jill and I knew instantly she would be working with us. She was so welcoming and had such a positive attitude.

 I had to leave Jill in charge in WI as I needed to return to work in CA, but, I was totally at ease doing so. We sold both homes and closed much sooner than we anticipated and for the price we asked for. Jill was with us every step of the process and beyond. Jill was amazing through the whole process. My wife and I had only one day available to look at homes in the area. Jill set up 11 showings for us and then set up a second showing the same day at the house we bought.
